"Well, what can I say. I have been going to Elkridge since they opened the new store. I bought all my parts through Elkridge except for a few misc. items. I have a 01 1200XLH that has been transformed. In 06, I entered my ride in the timonium show. It was the first time ever to be in a show. I figure if you are going to enter something, then enter big. I took first place in mild custom with six in that class. It wasn't the trophy I cared about, it was the experience of getting the parts, working on the bike with my wife and daughters. "We went to old glory and when we went in no one helped us and when they finally came over the man did not know what he was talking about. We asked if their was any specials and his answer is we do not do special we do not have to. Well little did he know that we were ready to spend $55,000 on 3 bikes. We came to your location because my son bought his first bike with you and was very happy. When we came in Patrick greeted us, answered all of our quetions, did not rush us, and stayed with until my husband and I made a decision on a bike. We then told Patrick we were ready to buy 2 more bikes and he informed us we were his first customers. He was so professional, informative and helpful we would have never known. Immediatly when you arrive you are impressed that you are not "Tackled" by Salesmen, when you are approached by the staff they are extremely polite and better stated they "listen to you" then start to size up your needs. Issues, I never considered where addressed in the presentation of the motorcycle. "Over the last five years, I've visited all the Harley dealerships in the Baltimore, Annapolis, St. Mary's area. I've never owned a motorcycle. "Tina Ice Harley-Davidson of Maryland 7010 Troy Hill Drive Elkridge, Maryland 21075 Dear Ms. Ice, I’m writing this letter to inform you of my recent visit to the Service Department with my warranty repair on my 2005 Road King. The Road King had a very unusual vibration, which another Harley Davidson dealership called not excessive and another dealership that stated it was normal. Your service technicians verified my complaint on a Saturday and than made an appointment to get it serviced. I dropped it off the following week for service. I was updated regularly on the progress and was informed it would take some time but the technicians never left any doubt that they would find and repair the problem. Sure enough the repairs were made and I’m now riding a bike that is vibration free and fun to ride again. I couldn't have asked for better service from Tom, Earl and Carlos. "WHEN MY BROTHER-IN-LAW PURCHASED A NEW BIKE FROM THE ELKRIDGE STORE, WELL THATS ALL IT TOOK FOR MY HUSBAND TO CATCH THE FEVER, SO IN TURN WE FOUND A 2004 SOFT TAIL DUECE ON LINE AND BOUGHT IT. ALTHOUGH, I ADMIRED THE HARLEY'S FOR A LONG TIME, I COULDN'T TELL YOU THE FIRST THING ABOUT THE BIKE. SATURDAY, WE DECIDED TO GO TO THE ELKRIDGE STORE. IT WAS THE DAY AFTER THEY LOST THEIR CLOSE FRIEND AND EMPOLYEE, JEFF. MY HUSBAND AND I ENDED UP STAYING THERE FOR A GOOD 2 HOURS ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS BIKE AND TALKING TO A COUPLE OF THE SALES PEOPLE, ALTHOUGH IT WAS CLEAR TO ANYONE WHO WALKED THROUGH THE DOORS THESE GUYS WERE DEVASATATED BY THEIR LOST, YOU KNOW,THEY STILL WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP YOU, MAKE YOU GENUINELY FEEL THAT YOU WERE WELCOMED THERE,REGARDLESS IF YOU WERE BUYING OR ASKING A MILLION QUESTIONS. "First of all, let me start by saying "thank you". For your patience and understanding with my situation. It has been about 20 years since I have been on a street bike. When I started to pursue the option of getting a "toy", there was nothing but a Harley to consider. The large dealer network, knowledgable staff, and high resale and marketability of the bike made it my only choice to consider. The sales department worked with me to try and find my comfort level and ultimately made the suggestion of my 2005 Sportster 883 Custom. Good choice, just the right bike to get to know the street again. I drove the bike home and hated it!Scared to death of the street and all the trucks! I called the dealership the next day to discuss my options of getting out of it. They reassured me that this happens and offered several possible solutions to my situation. The conversation turned from understanding to encouragement for me. I am glad I made the call. Meanwhile, 2 months later, I have all my friends, and new ones, taken me out and I love it! My wife is in the store and on line more than I am. It is true that the Harley folks are friends and it is a way of life. I have joined the local H.O.G. Chapter and am looking forward to the meeting and events. In closing, thanks to Rick, Russell, and Kevin and the ones I dont know the names of for making me feel at home and welcome and turning what I thought was a bad decision into a new way of life. "Dear H-D of MD, I just completed the Riders Edge course with instructor's Missy and Toby, Class #31. The course was great. A++. I learn a ton about riding a motorcycle safely and have fun while doing it. I feel I am a better car driver now that i have completed the course. The instructors were very nice and helped me increase my joy of motorcycles. I now have an need to get a motorcycle and ride. The instructors were so nice and encouraged us all in the class to preform our best. I would recomend this class to anyone who wants to ride or is even thinking about riding. It was a great weekend. "To whom it may concern, I took the class last weekend 6/23 - 6/26/05. I had no idea what to expect since I had no previous riding experience and I wasn't sure if I would be interested in continuing with riding. Toby Sonn and Worth Kerr were the instructors and I want to say that they made the class very interesting. I think that they were excellent instructors. They started from scratch (especially with one woman that until that class had no idea what the concept of a clutch was either on a motorcycle or a car) and I believe that the building block method was very successful. By the time they were done everyone had a good understanding of riding but I think also of the fact that this is just the beginning of the learning curve and there are major limitations to our abilities at this time. "I was a participant in the Riders Edge course put on May 6th through May 9th at your dealership. I wanted to comment on how exceptional your dealership was along with this course in teaching me how to operate a motorcycle. The instructors were superb especially Debby Raymond. You could tell she was into this not for the money but to insure new riders were sufficiently trained to operate in a safe manner respectful of the laws and rules. At the same time she made the experience fun and left you feeling more confident and comfortable with each session and day. At the end of the course i not only received my certificate to obtain my motocylce license from the MVA but also had gained a level of respect and confidence as I begin my riding experience on the road.
